ABOUT ELUSION
James Elia (a.k.a. Elusion) gives the crowd a party-like atmosphere with his head banging, sing along live sets every time that he plugs his USB into the decks. His passion and excitement that he shows during these sets comes from his childhood. James grew up around music because of his father and sister. The two of them were always singing with each other in the car everywhere they traveled with Elusion, and that always brought him happiness.
After graduating High School in 2015 and attending festivals such as EDC New York, Tomorrow World, Moonrise, and Miami Ultra as a festival goer, his vision for music came to light. Elusion attended a school in New York City called Dubspot. He studied Ableton for about a year. In 2016 the school went bust. He went to class one day only to find a notice on the door that there will be no more classes. Devastated at first, he then decided to go on his own. He self-taught himself with the aid of YouTube videos, networking, and experimenting on his own.
During this time of learning production, from 2016-2019, Elusion worked as a manager at a Pizzeria to make money. In addition, he would partake in DJ’ing at local lounges in New Jersey. During the summer of 2019, He landed a spot to open for New Jersey based artist 4B, where he really began his journey as an artist.
After self releasing a few originals and a few remixes over the course of those few years, Elusion began to establish and expand his connections along with his sound. He linked up with Shoku in California in 2019. Shoku introduced him to other talented, up and coming West Coast artists such as Stoutty, GAWM, Blvckjesus, and JAYSYX.
In 2020, Elusion met up with Long Island artist 2AM. Being originally from Staten Island, Elusion and 2AM quickly became good friends and together they recorded “Down”. They submitted this record to DJ Carnage’s hard-hitting label Heavyweight Records. Heavyweight was looking for talent to publish on their now released Lockdown EP. “Down” earned the opening spot on the EP which set the mood for the remaining EP.
To kick off 2021, Jaysyx, featured Elusion on his debut EP, Blood Sinz (via the Emengy Record Label), where their first original collab “PURGE” debuted. This has done now over 18k !
Excited to follow up with the early success from “Purge”, Elusion decided to self release his first solo original, THRONES, with his own label, Elia Vision Music LLC.
THRONES has been released on March 26th, 2021 on all music platforms. It features a High School friend who goes by the artist name “Dubz” on the vocals. This will be the first “Solo Dolo” record of the Elusion project, with a hard hitting bass sustain, Serum based chimes, and those hard hitting kicks and snares that head bangers love to break their necks to. Since then, Thrones has been played by Carnage and streamed over 41 thousand times to this day!
In May 2021, Elusion and his great friend Shoku had the opportunity to release their collaboration, "WTA" via Subsidia Records! Subsidia is a Bass oriented Label created by the Dubstep Don, Excision. Excision released several compilations featuring Dubstep, Future Bass, Bass House, really anything with bass!
On July 4th 2021 Elusion released another original of his called "VIBE" featuring a Jersey based rapped named "Sicario Sosa". Elusion wanted to expand the hard hitting drops with some real vocals.
After this release, Elusion was part of a remix competition for Emengy where he released his remix of "Danger" which has been streamed well over 35k times as well! With that being said, Elusion stacked up on some originals and remixes which he began to release through 2022.
This year he has released 6 different records, and has much more to go!
